Day 2

SKIING DAY!!! 
BUT WAIT. Before we go into skiing, let’s back track a little to 6am (Munich Time). All of us were seated in the living area because we slept at 9am the previous night. We then started to prepare a sumptuous spread for breakfast!
Today was skiing day and we travelled for approximately an hour to this town called Flachau, just 4-5 towns away from Abertau.
The ski resort near our place was not ready for skiing because there wasn’t enough snow and we had to go to Flachau as an alternative.
Introducing the two ROOKIES to skiing – we sure had a hard time balancing on the snow man. While we were busy ‘mastering’ our basics, the Cheong family ski-ed down slope after slope and were totally awesome in the ski resort!! CLAP CLAP!
Here’s jiu mu with her brightly coloured ski suit that can be spotted from afar! She looks really cheery here, doesn’t she!
Weather’s like super cold today. Heard that it went down to -1degcel.
Brrr…. it’s gonna get colder from this point forth, so foong yi, better bring more clothes okay! Wrap michelle like a BA ZHANG! muahahahaha… can’t wait for you people to be here!

It’s not even 9pm here but we’re all like dead ducks, ready for bed!

Looks like the day was filled with snow and merriment. I can see that White Christmas has already arrived for all of you. Here, we can only sing and dream :
“I’m dreaming of a White Christmas,
with every Christmas card I write
May your days be merry and bright,
and may all your Christmases be white”
The snowy pictures caused me to recall the well-known Christmas song on snowing :
“Oh the weather outside is frightful,
But the fire is so delightful,
And since we’ve no place to go,
Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!”
For the 2 rookies, better make sure the basic skills are learnt sufficiently before they go ‘pro’ like the 4 ‘pros’.
That breakfast spread was sumptuous – more than my daily of course.

Looking at the pictures of all of you dressed up like Eskimos and with snow pouring heavily down on you, one would think that you guys are in the North Pole. You will never get such pictures taken at Snow City, Jurong.

Hey Foong yi, we brought a mini peanut butter along from Singapore
just in case you need more than one bottle. heh!

Hello ‘Pro’ Skiers of the Cheong Famil, you fellows look pro alright. Today the ski slopes of Europe, tomorrow the Winter Olympics participants for Singapore – if we ever get to qualify for the Winter Olympics. Humour aside, greetings from all of us from Singapore and Hong Kong to four of you. This trip must have been a recall of your past European experience. Must be quite a nostalgia to be there again. Foong Yi, please tell Michelle Azhang also likes peanut butter. When she comes back to Singapore, we all can have a peanut butter party. We can have peanut butter on toast, on noodle and with banana and every food one can think of. I can even eat it on its own if it is not that fattening which it is. But the oil in peanut butter is good oil.

Anyway, it’s sooooo quiet in SG without all of you…..
Every evening when we get home, the only thing your mum talks about is your photos…..so again…u can see she also misses both of you….
